Socialization

Dogs, like humans, are interactive beings that, through proper socialization, develop and shape future behavior and a healthy relationship with the environment. The socialization of a dog begins while it is still a puppy when its brain absorbs information like a sponge. The puppy in the first four months of life intensively adopts experiences and events around him, and if they are positive, then there is a greater chance that the dog in adulthood will be calm, obedient and less timid.

The socialization training is basically teaching the dog on how to adapt to its surroundings. Dogs can often have problems with:

  • Surrounding sounds,
  • Ground type,
  • Obstacles,
  • Traffic,
  • Other animals (like other dogs and cats),
  • People,

Although the dog owner will correctly identify dog’s problem, other problems which have to be resolved first may appear during the training. The training is often combined with obedience training. Before the start of the training, a live dog assessment is needed. Consider the first training as an ‘introduction’ training, where the instructors and dogs will introduce themself to each other. The desired skill can be trained in shorter or longer amount of recommended days.
